Celebrating With One Dog Organic Bakery Holiday Tins

November 12, 2015 4 Comments

With the holiday season upon us, we're celebrating with the adorable Holiday Keepsake Tins from One Dog Organic Bakery.Whether we’re ready or not, the holiday season is here. Personally, I don’t decorate or anything until the day after Thanksgiving, but I know there are a lot of early preparers out there so I wanted you to know about this ADORABLE product!

I wrote about One Dog Organic Bakery and their mission for transparency in the pet industry a bit ago and absolutely love everything they stand for. If you missed that post, go check it out before I continue!

I’ll wait.

Okay, are we ready?

Good.

So let’s talk about the Holiday Keepsake Tins from One Dog Organic Bakery. These tins are absolutely adorable and the perfect way to bring the holidays to your pups. The tins remind me of the popcorn tins that we used to get all of the time – they’re definitely something you will want to reuse. However, the best part is when you open the tin for the first time.

OH. MY. FLUFFY.

With the holiday season upon us, we're celebrating with the adorable Holiday Keepsake Tins from One Dog Organic Bakery.

It smelled like I was opening a tin of freshly baked cookies and I’m not going to lie, I almost took a bite. The fact that One Dog Organic Bakery has a human-grade facility made it all the more tempting! I figured I’d have some pretty angry fluffies if I ate their treats 😉

Mauja and Atka’s tin had two flavors of treats: Pumpkin Spice and Gingerbread Men. Both of these flavors are grain, preservative, chemical, and artificial anything free. The treats smelled EXACTLY like Pumpkin Spice and Gingerbread so I was eager to see how the pups liked them.

Mauja and Atka are so silly when they try something new for the first time. I held out a treat for each of them and they both gave it a thorough sniff. They probably smelled the treats for 10 seconds before they gingerly (see what I did there?) took the treats from my hand and walked away with them. After a few more seconds of sniffing, they finally decided it was time for the taste test. As soon as they finished, they were both at my side begging for more. This time, there was a lot of excitement for the treat!

With the holiday season upon us, we're celebrating with the adorable Holiday Keepsake Tins from One Dog Organic Bakery.

One Dog Organic Bakery has several flavors to fit the preferences of every dog. For their Holiday Keepsake Tins, they have:

  • Gingerbread Men
  • Apple Cinnamon Crisp
  • Ginger Snaps
  • Peanut Butter Honey
  • Peanut Butter Cranberry
  • Pumpkin Spice

Best part, all the flavors are grain free! Every Christmas, I say that I’m going to bake treats and put them in cute jars for the pups of my friends and family. Then I get busy and it never happens. Dog mom fail. This year I am definitely going to be sending these tins to the special pups in my life.

Mom, if you’re reading this (HI MOM!), don’t tell Mallie and Kai 😉

With the holiday season upon us, we're celebrating with the adorable Holiday Keepsake Tins from One Dog Organic Bakery.

So what do you think? Are you going to add the Holiday Keepsake Tins to your Christmas list this year?

Your Dog Comes First at One Dog Organic

September 29, 2015 18 Comments

One Dog Organic Bakery sells healthy, wholesome dog treats just for your dog.

Do you know what’s in your dog’s food and treats?

Do you know how the food and treats were made?

Do you know how long they have sat on the store shelves?

I never really know much beyond the ingredient label and the information on the packaging. Honestly, I didn’t even consider researching how the product was made.

Until recently, that is.

In the past several months, I have really changed my approach to the fluffies’ nutrition. I understand that not only are the ingredients important, but the creation process is equally significant. Unfortunately, that information isn’t always easy to come by. Companies can be very vague when it comes to the manufacturing process.

One Dog Organic Bakery sells healthy, wholesome dog treats just for your dog.

Don’t we deserve to know exactly what we’re giving our furbabies?

I think we do. So does One Dog Organic Bakery.

One Dog Organic Bakery is a small, family owned business interested in getting to know you and your family. Your treats will never sit on the store shelves because they don’t carry inventory. This allows them to cater to your pup’s special needs and bake every order fresh. They use only high-quality, sourced in America ingredients that are certified organic and GMO-free. A GMO-free dog treat bakery is pretty difficult to find.

All of the treat recipes have been vetted by a canine nutritionist to ensure your pup’s dietary needs are being met. You won’t find artificial ingredients in any of the treat recipes. However, you will find treats with vitamins and minerals to support a healthy coat, skin, and immune system.

The most exciting thing about One Dog Organic Bakery is that they are certified as a “human-grade” facility. Our pups’ treats are getting the same care and precautions as we would receive. It’s about time!

One Dog Organic Bakery is also a certified green business. From shipping materials to product packaging, they try and reduce their carbon paw print through recycled materials.

Mauja and Atka LOVED these treats. They’re not always the biggest fans of biscuits, but these hit the spot. I love that One Dog Organic Bakery bakes every order fresh and can custom craft an order. The fluffies don’t have any food sensitivities, but many dogs do and miss out on delicious treats. The best part – there’s no extra charge for customization!

Revel Frozen Treats: The Honest Kitchen

June 2, 2015 16 Comments

Revel Frozen Treats - The Honest Kitchen

Atka is the weirdest dog ever. He does not like peanut butter and we recently found out he doesn’t like some of the flavors from The Honest Kitchen. Mauja goes bananas when she smells me preparing the food; Atka looks at me like I have offended him. The Honest Kitchen makes some seriously awesome stuff. Atka is just a weirdo.

We received samples of the new Revel flavor in our swag bag at BlogPaws this past weekend. I wanted to find a way for both dogs to enjoy the food, and I figured a frozen treat just might do the trick. So, I created the Revel Frozen Treats.

These are super quick and easy and only require a few steps. Here we go!

What You Will Need:

Revel Frozen Treats - The Honest Kitchen

  • 1/2 cup Revel dog food from The Honest Kitchen
  • 1 small container of plain, non-fat greek yogurt
  • Chicken
  • Carrots (or other veggie)
  • Low-sodium chicken broth, if necessary
What To Do:

1. Cook up your chicken. I cooked the fluffies’ in coconut oil for some added health benefits (olive oil is great, too!).

2. While the chicken cools, mix up your Revel food per package instructions. I used both sample packets, which required 2/3 of a cup of water. Let sit for the food to absorb the water.

3. Mix in your greek yogurt. Make sure to break for a taste test!

4. Finely dice your carrots (or other veggies) and chicken.

5. Mix carrots and chicken into the Revel/greek yogurt mixture.

6. If your mixture is thin enough, add it to your freezer molds. My molds are tiny so I needed to thin the mixture a bit. I added some low-sodium chicken broth until it reached the desired consistency; then I added it to the molds.

7. Freeze and enjoy!

I love this recipe because it is so versatile. You can substitute a favorite food flavor, meat, or vegetable to get a result that suits every pooch! Do you think your dog would enjoy this summer treat?

Trick or Treat for Your Pooch

October 30, 2014 9 Comments

DSC_0908edit

There have been so many adorable posts lately for homemade Halloween inspired dog treats. Since I’m a slacker, the fluffies will be getting store bought treats. For the non-slackers, I thought I would round up a few of my favorite recipe finds!

  • We cannot get over how cute these Candy Corn frozen dog treats are from Beagles and Bargains. Just because the cooler weather is coming doesn’t mean you have to ditch the frozen goodies!
  • Mummy pumpkin and cheese dog treats?! I’m going to attempt to make these, but I’m sure they won’t turn out as well as Kol’s Notes.
  • Need another frozen treat option? Check out these Creepy Halloween Frosty Dog treats from Sugar the Golden Retriever.
  • Have a pumpkin loving pooch? Try these Frosty Pumpkin treats from Miley’s Daily Scoop!

I’m sure I’ve missed many, many posts these past few weeks as our wedding is rapidly approaching! What Halloween inspired treats do you love?
