Soothe That Tummy with Vivamune

Mauja has tummy issues.

I still have no idea why. The vet and I have yet to come up with a reasoning. She never acts funny, but she frequently has loose stools, even when she hasn’t had anything new.

We’ve been dealing with this since she was a puppy.

I have tried adding pumpkin to her food to firm up her stools.

She hates it.

A few other tummy supplements have been tested here, but nothing has helped.

So, when we got the chance to try the Vivamune Chews, I figured ‘what the heck’. No harm in trying!

Vivamune Health Chews use their OxC-beta formula to support the dog’s immune system. Skin issues, joint issues, and tummy troubles are all said to be helped by taking the daily chews. Mauja really doesn’t have any joint issues (although she is on a precautionary joint supplement that we stopped while taking Vivamune) and her skin is pretty healthy. We just wanted a solution to her tummy problems.

We have been using the chews for just over a month and I am very pleased with the results I am seeing. Mauja’s stools have become consistently firm. An unexpected change is that her fur has developed a glossiness to it that I haven’t seen before. Her fur is much more silky than it has been. Its lovely to touch 🙂

Now, I’m sure you’re wondering where Atka has been through this whole trial.

Well, about a week into trying the chews, Atka got a tummy bug. After a vet visit, a bland diet, and some meds, he was finally doing better. I tried to reintroduce the chews into his diet, but he was not having it. The vet and I think he associates the smell of the chews with the bug that he had. I’m going to give him a few more weeks and then try and give him the chews again. His coat could use a little extra gloss 😉

So far, this is my favorite ‘all-around’ supplement. Most supplements are specific for joints, skin, or digestion, but the Vivamune chews help with all of them. The beta-carotene blend is unique and something I haven’t seen in a product before.

Interesting! I will have to see what their price is to ship to Canada, and if the $5.00 deal applies to me too. Koda has the EXACT same problem with his bowels. Can’t find anything wrong with him, he just has really loose stools sometimes. Otherwise, he is pawfectly healthy! These sound like they are definitely worth a try!

thanks for a great review! I will look if I can get it here. Easy’s tummy makes weird noises sometimes, but its much better since we give him some probiotic yogurt. I would like to give vivamune a try

I know the $5 deal is only to US, but I’m not sure if they ship elsewhere. I’ll look into it.

I’m glad Mauja’s doing well on them. Of course she hates Pumpkin LOL, I swear dogs are so picky about the wrong things… Too bad Atka now associates them with tummy problems.

I know! Drives me nuts. I really hope Atka forgets because they’re really great for Mauja

Sounds like this could be a good fit for Harley. He’s developing a nervous stomach “after” I return from an overnight trip. I’m sensing this is something new since Leo’s been gone. This may be something that would work for him when I’m traveling. I will look into it. Question for you: are you giving this as a “daily” supplement? Just wondering…. Thanks great information.

Wow! That product is so cool!
The kitties are laughing at Mauja for having that treat put on her nose! MOL! If I tried to do that for a picture, I think I would get that “look” like, “Ummm…what do you think YOU are doing?” MOL!

So glad you found something that helps Mauja. Some dogs, like some people, just have nervous tummies. It’s nice to know that something as simple as a supplement can help.

Luke has tummy issues as well. Nothing that bothers him, but like Mauja, he often has loose stools. Not all the time, but often enough. Our vet recommended a probiotic supplement, but that really didn’t seem to help. We’ll have to discuss trying these. Thanks for sharing!
