Look Who’s Happy, Atka!

Great Pyreenes - Look Who's HappyI’m horrible at making dog treats.

It’s not that I can’t make them; I just never take the time to do it. Every weekend I come up with a treat idea that I’m DEFINITELY going to make. That rarely ever happens.

I’m also very picky with what I allow the fluffies to eat. I won’t just grab any treat off the shelf for them to try.

That’s why I rely on finding quality companies with products I believe in.

Look Who’s Happy is a recent favorite in our house. The company is run by brothers and based out of Georgia. Their processing facility meets much higher standards than the commercial pet product requirements. Plus, I love the ingredients and the fluffies love the taste!

Look Who's Happy

  • Treats are made with USDA inspected, cage-free chicken or grass-fed beef. This is a big one for us. I’m a vegetarian, but Nick eats meat so we try and ensure that his consumption is as cruelty-free as possible. While cage-free isn’t perfect, it’s a huge step up from the typical battery cages.
  • Grain and gluten free. The fluffies aren’t on a completely grain free diet as the nutrition isn’t appropriate for growing giant breeds. However, seeing a grain free label shows me that unhealthy grain fillers aren’t included (always read the ingredients to be sure).
  • No by-products, hormones, artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. Keeping things as natural as possible is extremely important.

Look Who’s Happy currently has two lines of treats: Fetch’n Fillets and Tempt’n Tenders. The fillets are jerky treats which come in beef, bison, chicken, and venison. The tenders are all chicken based, but have a crust of either blueberry, carrot, pumpkin, or sweet potato.

They will soon be coming out with a line called Happy Wraps. Happy Wraps are made from dry-roasted sweet potato or carrot, which is then wrapped in chicken or turkey. Yum!

These definitely passed the fluffy taste test. Mauja wanted to eat them straight out of the bag!

Great Pyrenees - Look Who's Happy

Have you ever tried any of the lines of treats from Look Who’s Happy? Which would your dog prefer?

Yea I have recipes from the vet, but don’t have the time to make them either, and my two dogs demand that they have their treats!

I’m with you…..I love the idea of baking treats for my dogs, but I rarely actually do it! Time is always a problem, isn’t it? We haven’t tried these treats yet, but we definitely hope to. Those wraps sound really good too!

Those look like nice and tasty treats Atka. I’m the same way, I don’t typically make treats for the dog. Or myself for that matter lol. But every now and then I will.
