Atka certainly knows how to get into mischief. I’m sure you saw my review post where Atka decided to shred my book. Teenagers… 😉
This weekend we were all on a walk when we ran into a family friend. Their two year old was smitten with the dogs so we decided to let them all play on the playground. Mauja decided that Atka and the girl were getting into too much mischief, so she went to hang out with the adults.
The young girl, we’ll call her E, decided that she wanted to be the one to walk Atka. A 2 year old walking my 100 pound, 9 month old puppy? I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I handed E the leash and I grabbed onto Atka’s collar (just in case he decided to run and knock poor E over). To my surprise, he walked pyrfectly beside her. Even stopping with her when she paused to pick up rocks.
Atka knew that digging in the rocks isn’t something we allow, but I’m sure he figured there was no way he’d get in trouble with E around.
He was right.
I’m sure you’re wondering what they were doing with the rocks that they found.
Because apparently rocks belong on the slide.
It was her idea.
(Atka doesn’t wear his gentle leader like that. He messed it up as he was playing and I was snapping pictures before I missed the moment!)
What mischief did you and your dogs get into this weekend?
Last day to enter the pawsome Pure Essentials giveaway!
We’re joining the Monday Mischief blog hop hosted by Snoopy’s Dog Blog, Alfie’s Blog, and My Brown Newfies.
I think animals understand about children, but I’m glad you were watching closely. Lovely photos!
I always like to be extra cautious!
My dogs love little children. The food in their hands is closer to the ground and often lands there.
That does make them more enticing!
and I think rocks on a slide are a good idea, to make sure no one will slip on that slide. good job!
That is one way to look at it!
There may be some mischief in there but I think E and Atka are just too sweet together!
Happy Monday,
Oz
They really are. Too cute to get into mischief for sure 😉
This is the sweetest post I’ve seen today. Thank you! Your babies are such beauties, and coupled with a toddler? Priceless!
A toddler always makes pictures cuter 🙂
Awww! That is so sweet! My little girl has a thing with putting rocks on the slide too. I wonder what the appeal is? BOL! Not a clue!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
We will never understand. Ah, to be a kid again… 😉
This post is adorable! It looks like Atka has found a great friend!
He really has!
Rocks on the slide are much better than stuck in your belly, just ask my vet! :/
Oh no. That does not sound like a good time!
Atka the gentle giant.
He really is 🙂
How cute! Rocks on the slide is definitely mischief! 🙂
Especially when you’re expected to slide down!
I’ve let kids walk Mr. N (not as young as two though) and they always tell me that he walks fast! They like it though because they run alongside him. I let them walk our foster dog once and they said he walks like a snail and it isn’t any fun lol.
That is too cute! E tried to run with Atka, but it was just a walking pace for him 😉
The two of them are precious! Atka knew exactly how to act around E!
This is just absolutely adorable!
Those stones are going to hurt on the way down…
So funny what kids decide to do with things.
