Happy Birthday, Mauja!

Today Mauja turns two.

TWO.

I can’t believe it.

This year, we’re having a very special birthday celebration. Mauja and Atka’s birthdays are less than a month apart. Atka turns one on October 13th. They’re growing up so fast! We had a really hard time trying to decide how to celebrate their birthdays, but we finally came up with the pyrfect idea.

I know that Mauja and Atka would love it if we added another pyr to our family. Unfortunately, we live in military housing and we have a two animal limit. If we didn’t, we would have kept Balto (the rescue dog we transported). I’ve been trying to think of a way to show Carole how much we appreciated her taking in Balto and helping every dog that she possibly can.

That’s why we’re having this birthday celebration.

From Mauja’s birthday to Atka’s birthday, we’re holding a “Feed the Fluffies” fundraiser for the Great Pyrenees Rescue of Wisconsin. Big dogs come with big costs. Really big costs.

    Happy birthday Mauja from Katie, Bailie, and I! Party it up like there is no tomorrow! As for that 2 animal rule, just blow that one off, the Pyrs are family members, not animals 😉 Hope your day is great!
