The Fluffies Experience Mt. Rainier

While dogs might not be allowed on the trails in national parks, there are still plenty of things you can do! We took our Great Pyrenees to Mt. Rainier.

This weekend, we decided to take the fluffies on a bit of an adventure. While Mt. Rainier national park doesn’t allow dogs on the trails, you can have them in your vehicle, around parking lots and the road, and a few other areas. We didn’t plan on hiking, so we loaded Mauja and Atka into the car and headed out for the day.

While dogs might not be allowed on the trails in national parks, there are still plenty of things you can do! We took our Great Pyrenees to Mt. Rainier.

The fluffies had a great time sticking their snoots out the window. I can’t even begin to imagine all the scents they were taking in. And of course, many people stopped to pet
Mauja and Atka and many even took photos of them #celebridogs.

The views were stunning. The steam was an active reminder that Mt. Rainier is still an active volcano, which is still difficult to wrap my head around!

    The side of your car looks exactly like mine! Is that a Ford Explorer? Just curious as I’ve been considering trading in the ginormous Tahoe for one…but am worried there’s not enough space in the back.

    Are you guys in Oregon/Washington? I just moved down to Southern Cal from Portland, and I miss it!
